Arsenal are preparing for a hugely difficult encounter as they prepare to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Gunners are flying high in Europe having won all four of their opening four fixtures in the competition. Mikel Arteta’s side are also sitting top of the tree in the Premier League with a 4-1 win over fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur putting them six points clear in first with just 12 games played.
The similarities with Bayern are uncanny, with Vincent Kompany’s side boasting an identical record in Europe while also sitting six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

Mikel Arteta was boosted by the return of Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli to the squad for Sunday’s North London Derby clash with Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium. As a result, the duo could feature against Bayern.
Martin Odegaard could return to the fold following a knee injury.
Arsenal will, however, be without Viktor Gyokeres (hamstring) Gabriel Magalhaes (hamstring) and Gabriel Jesus (ACL), while Kai Havertz has suffered a fresh setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
Arteta Drops Arsenal Team News Hint
Mikel Arteta gave an update on his team ahead of the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Asked if Madueke and Martinelli will feature, Arteta said: “They are, and we’re going to have a meeting now to decide on Martin [Odegaard]. He was very close for the previous game, so we are hopeful that tomorrow he can be in the squad as well.”
Discussing how Gyokeres and Havertz were progressing, the Spaniard replied: “Really good, both of them. In the next few days, they’re going to have a repeat scan to see how everything is and where we can push them for the weekend.”
