Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has dismissed suggestions that Arsenal could “bottle” the Premier League title this season, insisting that Mikel Arteta’s side possess one of the strongest squads English football has ever seen.
Speaking about the title race, Klopp praised Arsenal’s depth, mentality and tactical maturity, arguing that the narrative around potential collapse is unfair given the quality within the squad.
Despite their recent 1–1 draw against Brentford — a result that slightly reduced their advantage at the top — Klopp believes the Gunners remain firmly in control of their destiny.
“This Arsenal team has everything you need to win a Premier League title,” Klopp reportedly said. “Quality, balance, hunger, and competition for places. People talk too quickly about pressure, but this group looks ready.”
Squad Strength and Mentality
Klopp highlighted the blend of experience and youth within Arsenal’s squad, noting how Arteta has built a team capable of competing across multiple competitions without losing intensity. According to him, the depth in midfield and defense gives Arsenal the edge needed in a tight title race.
He also pointed out that previous seasons should not define this campaign, stressing that every title challenge is different.
The Title Race Context
With Manchester City applying pressure behind them, Arsenal know there is little room for error. However, Klopp believes their structure and squad depth separate them from past versions of the team that fell short.
“Winning the Premier League is never easy,” he added. “But this Arsenal side looks stronger than ever.”
