BREAKING NEWS: The supercomputer who correctly predicted what happened in the Champions League final last season has now predicted what’s going to happen this season between Arsenal and PSG

Posted on May 8, 2026 by admin

Opta’s supercomputer has predicted that Arsenal are now the favourites to defeat Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 UEFA Champions League final, giving Mikel Arteta’s side a major boost ahead of the biggest match in the club’s modern history.

Following Arsenal’s dramatic run to the final and PSG’s tense semi-final victory over Bayern Munich, the latest simulations from Opta’s data model now place the North London club slightly ahead of the reigning French champions. According to the predictions, Arsenal have been given a 55.76% chance of lifting the trophy in Budapest, while PSG’s chances stand at 44.24%.

The final, scheduled to take place at the Puskás Aréna on May 30, will be Arsenal’s first Champions League final appearance since 2006. PSG, meanwhile, are aiming to defend the European crown they won last season under manager Luis Enrique.

Opta’s prediction model takes several factors into account, including current form, attacking efficiency, defensive stability, player availability, and historical performances in European competition. Arsenal’s impressive defensive record throughout the tournament is believed to be one of the biggest reasons behind their advantage in the simulations.

Under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have transformed into one of Europe’s most balanced sides this season. Led by stars such as Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, and Declan Rice, the Gunners have knocked out elite opposition on their way to the final and are now chasing the first Champions League title in the club’s history.

PSG, however, remain one of the most dangerous attacking teams in Europe. Players like Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have been instrumental in their journey to another final, and many fans still consider the French champions capable of defending their crown despite Opta’s prediction.

The final is already being described as one of the most anticipated Champions League showdowns in recent years, with Arsenal seeking redemption after years of rebuilding and PSG hoping to establish a new European dynasty under Luis Enrique. Football fans around the world will now wait to see whether Opta’s supercomputer prediction becomes reality when the two giants meet in Budapest later this month.
