Arsenal Prepare New Declan Rice Contract — Report
Arsenal are reportedly working on a new long-term contract for midfielder Declan Rice as the club looks to secure the England international’s future at the Emirates Stadium.
According to reports from FootballTransfers, Arsenal intend to use the September international break to make progress on a new agreement for Rice.
His current contract is understood to run until 2028, with Arsenal also holding an option that could extend it by another year. However, the club is reportedly interested in agreeing completely new terms rather than waiting for the existing deal to approach its final stages.
The reported proposal could keep Rice at Arsenal until 2031. FootballTransfers reports that the midfielder could receive a significant salary increase, with sources claiming the figure could be around £280,000 per week.
These financial details have not been officially confirmed by Arsenal, so they should be treated as reported figures rather than confirmed contract terms.
Rice has become an important part of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal since arriving from West Ham United in 2023.
He played a major role in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season, and the club is reportedly keen to keep the core of that squad together for the long term.
