BIG HEART: Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard joins girlfriend and Norway’s Royal family for charity match ‎

Posted on April 7, 2024 by admin

After the season ended, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was called up to serve on Norway’s national team. He also found time to participate in a charity match with his girlfriend and members of the Norwegian Royal Family.

Odegaard participated in an annual charity match at the Skaugum estate the day after leading his nation to a 3-1 victory over Cyprus. Odegaard played the full ninety minutes in Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Scotland and Cyprus.

The estate is home of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and his spouse, Crown Princess Mette-Marit. Odegaard was a member of their team, as was his professional ballerina lover Helene Spilling.

They were joined by former Middlesbrough and Sheffield United attacker Jan Age Fjortoft, as well as Norwegian women’s players Maren Mjelde and Guro Bergsvand, who play for Chelsea and Brighton, respectively, in the Women’s Super League.

Ultimately, Bon Unified, a handicapped football team, defeated Odegaard’s side 7-6. “After the game, we said, ‘We gave everything, but they made it difficult for us.” We’ve been here before, and it’s a pretty wonderful thing. Everyone can play football.

“I enjoyed having fun with everyone here. It was enjoyable. It was enjoyable since they delivered, had certain objectives, and made good contributions.” Regarding his partner’s performance, he provided the following response when questioned: “She can work a bit with throw-ins, but beyond that there was a lot of will and she gave everything she could.”

in the same time, Spilling made light of the fact that Odegaard is “actually quite good on the dance floor” although she is “so bad” in football. “We actually had a plan for him to dribble all together, but when the girlfriend, i.e. me, is so bad, it doesn’t work,” she stated.

We’ve attempted to dance a little, and he’s really pretty excellent! I believe that my impression of him on the dance floor is greater than my impression of myself at this time. And following the game, Fjortoft praised the Bon team profusely on social media.

He wrote, “Bøn FK was a great team today.” It feels great to be able to introduce the family—the big football! They only have two losses this season and train once a week. Lars, one of their players, scored four goals today.”

Having acknowledged earlier this month that losing to Manchester City for the Premier League title “still stings,” Odegaard plans to lead Arsenal’s pursuit of the championship again the following season. “I tried not to see so much of that stuff there because it still hurts,” he remarked. I make an effort not to give it much thought. I have a bad feeling even if we had a fantastic season for a while.”
