The Philadelphia Eagles went on a magical run during the 2024 NFL season and ended that run with a blowout win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Heading into the offseason, the Eagles have a few key players set to hit free agency. There is also a chance that they could consider making a move or two on the trade market.
Speaking of the trade market, there is one player on the roster who could end up being a surprising trade candidate this offseason.
Who could that player be? It’s tight end Dallas Goedert, who has been a huge part of the Philadelphia offense in recent years.
Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP has reported that Goedert is available of trade this offseason and that his time with the team seems to be running out.
“Teams around the league know Dallas Goedert is available in trade and the Eagles are willing to move him,” Shorr-Parks said. “Feels more and more like Goedert’s time with the Eagles is coming to an end.”
During the 2024 NFL season, Goedert ended up playing in 10 games. He caught 42 passes for 496 yards and two touchdowns in those appearances.
In the playoffs, Goedert played in four games. He played a big role, catching 17 passes for 215 yards and a score.
Should Goedert indeed be available, the 30-year-old tight end should have a sizable market. Quite a few teams around the NFL could use an upgrade at the position and he would become one of the best available.
