The Los Angeles Rams’ 2025 schedule has finally dropped, and it sets up quite nicely for the Rams to make yet another deep playoff push under Sean McVay.
With the schedule out, it’s time to dive into predicting the Rams’ outcomes for this season. With a much better roster and plenty of returning talent, expectations should be pretty high for the Rams this season.
Week 1: vs. Houston Texans
This one could be interesting, with former Rams’ coach Nick Caley now serving as the Texans’ offensive coordinator, leading a deadly pairing of quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Nico Collins.
However, I still don’t trust the vision of what the Texans did on their offensive line, and a new offense needs time to gel in games. With the Rams’ relentless pass rush up front and their veterans on offense, I think the Rams can get the win on what should be one of the best matchups of the week.
Prediction: Win (1-0)
Week 2: at Tennessee Titans
Tennessee is still in the middle of a rebuild, and the Rams are catching them early on in the season. While the Rams shouldn’t get complacent, this feels like one of the easiest games on their schedule.
Prediction: Win (2-0)
Week 3: at Philadelphia Eagles
It’s a good thing for the Rams that they catch the Eagles early in the season, as playing in the cold Philadelphia weather sucks, something they are well aware of after last year’s playoff loss. As skeptical as I am of the Eagles, they’ve earned the benefit of the doubt, and I’m not sure the Rams have the depth to outlast Philly here.
Prediction: Loss (2-1)
Week 4: vs. Indianapolis Colts
This one feels like a total wildcard game, as nobody has any idea what the Colts will look like this season. Will the Rams play Anthony Richardson or will it be Daniel Jones? How quickly will Lou Anarumo’s defense settle in? There are a lot more questions surrounding the Colts than the Rams at this stage, in my opinion, and the Rams will want to bounce back from a loss and defend their home turf.
Prediction: Win (3-1)
Week 5: vs. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have had the Rams’ number in recent seasons, and they’ll once again be a tough out this season. How quickly they rebound to turnover is going to be key, as they lost key players on both sides of the ball in the offseason. Can their patchwork offensive line hold up? I’m leaning to giving the Rams the edge here this early in the season.
Prediction: Win (4-1)
Week 6: at Baltimore Ravens
The Rams have only played the Ravens three times under Sean McVay, and they’ve gone 1-2 in that period. On the road against the Ravens is a tough out, and I’m not sure this is one the Rams walk away from with a win.
Prediction: Loss (4-2)
Week 7: at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)
The Jaguars and Rams have plenty of links between the two teams, making this game a bit of a friendly rivalry. This should be a competitive game with plenty of offensive fireworks between McVay and Stafford vs Liam Coen and Trevor Lawrence. The Rams have yet to lose a game in London, and I think they’ll keep that streak alive in this one.
Prediction: Win (5-2)
Week 8: BYE
Week 9: vs. New Orleans Saints
I’m not convinced the Saints will be competitive much at all this season. Coming off of a bye week against a critical stretch, this should be a good tune-up game for the Rams.
Prediction: Win (6-2)
Week 10: at San Francisco 49ers
Until I see how both teams look, I think this one is likely a split series. It will be a close game, but the 49ers have had their Rams number for a reason. They get the win at home and stymie some of the Rams’ momentum.
Prediction: Loss (6-3)
Week 11: vs. Seattle Seahawks
Seattle feels like another wild-card opponent on the Rams’ docket. They underwent pretty immense turnover this offseason, and downgraded at a few key spots. I’m still skeptical of Sam Darnold overall and Seattle’s offensive line is still a glaring weakness on the team. Can they hold up here? The Rams have won the last three games against Seattle that the starters have played in, and they have the edge here in this one.
Prediction: Win (7-3)
Week 12: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
At this point in the season, this has the potential to be a battle for the top overall seed in the NFC and could be the best game on the Rams’ schedule. The Bucs lost offensive coordinator Liam Coen but returned their entire starting unit and made substantial improvements on both sides of the ball. Truthfully, this game could go either way, but I think the Bucs might be slightly more talented in this one.
Prediction: Loss (7-4)
Week 13: at Carolina Panthers
The Panthers figure to be much improved this season, but I’m not convinced they are ready to contend with the top teams in the NFC just yet. However, this one could be close.
Prediction: Win (8-4)
Week 14: at Arizona Cardinals
I have no idea how to feel about the Cardinals’ roster. They still feel a ways away from competing, but it’s hard to discount the stunning early blowout loss the Rams had against Arizona last season. Overall, I don’t believe they have the talent or coaching edge to pull one over on the Rams this season, who will undoubtedly stay on their toes for them this season.
Prediction: Win (9-4)
Week 15: vs. Detroit Lions
A matchup this late between these two teams will have major playoff implications for either team, and could be a major factor in the race for the 1-seed overall in the NFC. The Lions narrowly pulled a win out over the Rams last season, and the Rams are much better than they were in Week 1 of 2024. The problem is, the Lions might just be better too, and any coaching transition issues will likely be ironed out this late in the season. It’s hard to bank against a team as talented and well-coached as Detroit.
Prediction: Loss (9-5)
Week 16: at Seattle Seahawks
The Rams are 13-7 against Seattle over the last ten years, and have pulled out several wins in Seattle over that stretch. The issues I’m skeptical of for Seattle won’t have changed in between these two matchups, and the Rams are in the middle of a playoff hunt. Edge: Rams
Prediction: Win (10-5)
Week 17: at Atlanta Falcons
Raheem Morris takes on a familiar face in Sean McVay in prime time for this matchup. As intrigued as I am over how Michael Penix Jr closed the 2024 season, I’m not convinced the Falcons’ roster is talented enough to hang with the top teams in the NFC.
Prediction: Win (11-5)
Week 18: vs. Arizona Cardinals
Unless the Rams are locked into a certain seed with how the season unfolds, they’ll still be firing away with the starters in this Week 18 matchup. The Cardinals could be playing for a Wild Card spot too, which adds some intrigue to this game, but I’m still confident in the Rams securing themselves atop the NFC West yet again here.
