He told ‘The Rest is Football’ that he believes some of the stuff he has been hearing from colleagues in the industry is beyond harsh.

He said: “The billion dollar bottle jobs is one of the harshest things I’ve said about any team for a long time. It’s a young team playing for a massive club who are trying to get back to the glory days.

 

“Yes, they have spent a lot of money. We know that. And we can say what we want to say about how that money has been spent and it’s a waste. But to call that team blue billion bottle jobs, is so harsh. It’s so harsh.
