What’s interesting is that both Houston and Cleveland already have former Miami tight ends—Brevin Jordan and David Njoku—on their rosters. So there’s definitely a bit of a Hurricanes connection in play.
Arroyo’s currently projected to go around pick 66 in the upcoming NFL Draft, which would put him in the early third round. After a rough start to his college career with limited action and injuries, he bounced back big in 2024, racking up 35 catches, 590 yards, and seven touchdowns.
Scouts think he’s got potential, but there’s some concern about his route running and blocking. Still, teams seem interested.
Houston already has a solid tight end group, but Brevin Jordan missed most of last season with an ACL injury. Cleveland, on the other hand, had strong production from their TEs in 2024. The Giants might be Arroyo’s best shot at making an immediate impact since their current tight end group hasn’t been as productive.
All in all, it’s a big week for Arroyo as he tries to find his NFL fit. If he can keep improving his game, especially as a blocker, he could be another success story out of “Tight End U.”
