Several Manchester United players contributed to the shoddy display as an 11-match unbeaten run in the Premier League ended against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
It was a disappointing night at St. James’ Park as Manchester United lost 2-1 against Newcastle and suffered their first ever defeat with Michael Carrick as head coach.
Newcastle opened the scoring through Anthony Gordon from the spot following a foul by Bruno Fernandes, before Casemiro scored an equaliser on the brink of half-time.
In stoppage time, William Osula cut in from the right flank to catch Tyrell Malacia flat-footed before sending his curled effort past Senne Lammens. The Red Devils got what they deserved on the night.
Bryan Mbeumo voted the most disappointing player vs Newcastle

Instead of a typical man of the match vote, it was decided to run a poll for the most disappointing performer on the night.
With over 1,100 votes registered, it was Bryan Mbeumo who came out on top with 43.79% of the vote.
Mbeumo offered very little in attack and it didn’t help that the rest of the attacking players were lacking end product on the night.
The poll was also dominated by second-placed Malacia, with 30.75%.
Malacia was at fault for Newcastle’s winner in stoppage time when he was turned inside out by Osula.
Next on the podium was Matheus Cunha after getting 6.34% of the votes.
Mbeumo is United’s top scorer this season, but the Cameroon star has struggled since returning to the team after the Africa Cup of Nations.
When did Bryan Mbeumo last score for Man Utd?
Mbeumo’s last goal came almost a month ago on February 7 as United beat Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old missed a sitter in United’s 2-1 defeat against Newcastle on Wednesday night – from an open goal situation – and it proved costly.
Hopefully, it won’t be long before Mbeumo adds to his tally of nine Premier League goals this season.
The former Brentford ace scored 20 goals in the league last term.
